Marble
It is undoubtedly the corner-stone of the ornamental stones. The word derives from the ancient greek word “marmaros”, which means “bright stone”.

Marble is a crystalline schist which formed with the next process: carbonate, dolomitic sediments or limestones, which formed normally in certain depth under the earth’s surface, are being transferred in deep depths due to tectonic effects. In there, the temperatures and the pressure conditions are different and the minerals change over, in other words they transform with a result to be created a new rock, which is characterized as «metamorphic rock» and in this case is marble. Marbles consist mainly from fine-grained up to coarse-grained recrystallized calcite or dolomite.
